Our local backyard is St Clair. Not a lot of people know about what it has to offer Sydney’s West.
Our Pest Control St Clair packages cater to our local neighbours – be sure to let us know you’re a St Clair resident when organising your next Pest Inspection.
Don’t forget that we not only treat properties for Spiders and Insects – but also carry out protection against termites, possums and all other critters that may be disturbing your peace.
St Clair – It’s our backyard
St Clair is a suburb of 39 kilometres west of Sydney located in NSW. It is within view of the Blue Mountains. St Clair’s shopping centre has just gone through a major refurbishment and has had added to it medical facilities including X-ray and a pathology centre. If you’re stuck for something to do in the cooler months you can always go and check out the indoor leisure centre. The locals of St Clair in need of a beer or a good pub lunch will be seen at the Blue Cattle Dog pub located on the corner of Manre Road and Banks Drive. It’s the only pub in town and it gets quite busy over the weekend and specially in the warmer months.
St Clair only has the one public High School properly named St Clair High School, you’ll find this on Endeavour Ave where the teenagers go after they finish at any number of the primary schools located here including St Clair Public School, Banks Drive Public School, Blackwell Public School, Clairgate Public School, Trinity and Holy Spirit Catholic School.
St Clair historically has no special significant reason for it’s name, other than one of the residential housing developments in 1970 by the Latex Finance Company was named St Clair. The area in the days of King George was formerly known as South Creek and then further on it was casually known as South St Mary’s. St Clair’s was mostly rural until the 70s when a large housing development was built which finally became St Clair’s and also a suburb West of Sydney.
Politics wise it is part of the federal division McMahon which is looked after labor Chris Bowen. If you haven’t made it out to St Clair I would encourage you to do so it really is a picturesque rural town not too far out of Sydney.
